Architectural drawings

Drawings As you can see with my drawings above, architecture school isn't all about drawing floor plans and coloring building elevations, there is actually a lot more to the process than I thought there would be. For your first year of school you really just learn about the basics, and some things felt really basic. With the drawings above you can see that they are very different, and the one on the left I never thought I'd be able to draw. With the drawing on the right it felt super basic to me and was confused why we had to drawing cubes, I learned how to draw these in middle school and didn't see why it helped. But the more I learned I realized there was a process, and each thing we drew had a bigger meaning and would lead to something better in the future. With these cubes we learned how to shade, how to create shadows that made the cubes feel real and 3D, and how to add on to make figures. After these cubes we got to bigger and better shapes. ...
